I just love to admire my 9 month old son’s hands and feet. Well in reality I love to admire everything about him but his hands and feet are so little and so chubby that I just can’t help myself!
I wanted to have a keepsake of them since they are something I want to always remember. I purchased my handprint kit at Target. It came in a kit with foam stars and stickers to use to decorate it into a Christmas ornament but I decided not to use the stickers it came with and instead have fun with it by adding some sparkle.
These are the materials I used.
I started with the handprint itself and applied two coats of mod podge and glitter, allowing it to dry completely in between each coat. Then I did the white surrounding area the same way. Finally, I added a ribbon to the back with a glue gun.
I’m very pleased with how it came out. At first I tried to paint it but did not like how all the creases showed through the paint so decided glitter would work best.
I know this keepsake is something that will always touch my heart. Years from now when my son is older I will have this keepsake to remember all the little things his little hands can and will do.

Wow Mija, I am completely blown away by this; it’s absolutely amazing!!! This touches my heart so much because when I was a little girl, I made one of these in school. Well, somehow it got lost over the years but my Dad (Grandpa) always remembers it and constantly asks me what ever happened to it. It breaks my heart that I don’t know what happened to it, but it feels wonderful that he always remembers it. That keepsake will always remain in our hearts ❤️forever. So wow, I am so amazed by this!!! Great job Mija, this is wonderful!!!! Waaaaaa I want to make one!!!! Maybe I can make one of me now and surprise him with it!!! ❤️Awwww he would Love one of Sebastian!!!!! 💙👱I absolutely love this!!! Kudos!!!!

Wow mija!!! I am blown away ❤️with this!!!!! Can you make one of my hands???? 😜😃OMG!!! I made one in school like this and somehow it got lost over the years but my Dad (Grandpa) has never forgotten. He continously asks me”Mija, what happened to the Handprint Molding we had of you?” It breaks 😢my heart each time he so lovingly asks about it and I feel crushed that it got lost… but the sweet memory is in my mind and heart anyway.
